The simplest route. Kagayaki services connect Tokyo and Kanazawa in approximately 2 hours 28–30 minutes without changing trains.
Thunderbird + Shinkansen
Take the Limited Express Thunderbird to Tsuruga, then transfer to the Hokuriku Shinkansen for Kanazawa.
Thunderbird + Shinkansen
The fastest connections take about 2 hours 09 minutes. Allow more time when your transfer or chosen service requires it.
Via Maibara and Tsuruga
Connections differ by departure. Check the complete itinerary before travel and leave comfortable transfer time.
Changing Trains at Tsuruga Station
Travelers from Kyoto and Osaka change from the Limited Express Thunderbird to the Hokuriku Shinkansen at Tsuruga Station.
